Wang Yi Talks About the Current Trilateral Relations Among China, Russia and the United States (US)
2019-05-14

On May 13, 2019 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov of Russia jointly met the press after their talks in Sochi. Wang Yi was asked how he viewed the current trilateral relations among China, Russia and the United States (US).

Wang Yi expressed that China, Russia and the US are all permanent members of the United Nations Security Council as well as major countries with significant influence on the world. In a world where challenges of various kinds keep cropping up, we should engage in positive interaction with an inclusive mindset, and get rid of unnecessary suspicion and misunderstanding and continuously expand cooperation with each other, while safeguarding world peace and stability as well as promoting global development and prosperity. China-Russia relations have already set an example for the international community in this regard. We are ready to settle differences and strengthen cooperation with major countries including the US on the basis of mutual respect, so as to strive for more peace, security and stability for the world.
