Wang Yi Meets with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand

On April 4, 2019, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Wang Yi said that at present, China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperative relations enjoy sound development, with close high-level exchanges between both sides, fruitful results in practical cooperation and constantly expanded cooperation fields, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is the real envoy of China-Thailand friendship as this is her 48th visit to China. The Thai royal family attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and has made important contributions to promoting bilateral friendly relations and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Thai side to carry forward the traditional friendship featuring "one family of China and Thailand" and continue to strengthen cooperation in various fields, so as to make China-Thailand relations even better. The Chinese side will continue to support the cause of people's livelihood in Thailand and Thailand's efforts in poverty reduction.

Maha Chakri Sirindhorn said that the Thai royal family values the friendly relations between Thailand and China, and appreciates the support and assistance of the Chinese side for the cause of education, science and technology and poverty alleviation in remote areas in Thailand. She is willing to continuously contribute to propelling bilateral friendship and cooperation in various fields.
